Power Supply Boundary

Some users prefer using Power Supply boundaries rather than Power Blocks to define the areas covered by a specific power supply. To access the command to place these boundaries, select the Power Supply Boundary command from the Placement section dropdown. The Power Supply Boundary command is used to either place new or to modify existing Power Supply Boundaries. The boundary should include all Coax design and devices, including all inserters, splitters, jumpers, and a single power supply that will be used to power all design within the boundary.

Place a New Power Supply Boundary

Select the Create New Boundary option of the Power Supply Boundary dialog, give the boundary a name, and then begin placing points for the new boundary:

Rename a Power Supply Boundary

  1. From the Power Supply Boundary dialog select the Edit Existing Boundary option.

  2. Select the Power Supply boundary to edit. The Power Supply boundary must be locked in order to modify it. Note that as soon as the boundary is selected, the nearest vertex of the boundary is immediately placed on the cursor. If the boundary itself needed to be modified, a series of left clicks would begin placing new vertices wherever needed. Right click will exit that command.

  3. To change the Power Supply boundary name, as soon as the boundary is selected (and the boundary vertex appears on the cursor), left click in the Name field of the Power Supply Boundary dialog and type the correct name. Right click to exit the command and save the new Name change (without changing the existing boundary shape.)
